Joseph Weaver

Pastor Joseph began pastoring POBC in July 2016. He and his wife Piper live in Placerville with their young daughter and one-eyed Yorkie.

The Weavers are both California natives. Both were saved by God’s grace through faith as young children. Joseph was called into ministry while at summer camp when he was 13.

The Weavers grew up in the Vacaville and Fairfield areas and attended college in Southern California. Joseph is a graduate of California Baptist University receiving a bachelor of applied theology degree. Piper graduated from California Institute of the Arts where she received a bachelor of fine arts in graphic design.

After their wedding in 2011 they moved to Birmingham, Ala. so that Joseph could attend Beeson Divinity School at Samford University where he graduated in 2014 with a master of divinity. The Lord continued using Joseph in ministry in various ways during their time at Concord Baptist Church in Alabama. The need arose, and he was chosen to serve as the interim pastor, with the ultimate calling to move back to California once a permanent pastor was hired.

In 2015, they moved back to California, through the Lord's provision and assurance. They were ultimately led and welcomed to the Pleasant Oak family in the summer of 2016.
