Guided early literacy activities like rhymes with hand motions, simple songs, various noise-making instruments, and of course, listening to stories. For kids ages 0-7 and a caregiver. Snacks provided afterwards!

What types of stories?

Each story will encourage themes like friendship, endurance, joy, with the aim of creating an engaging and fun atmosphere for kids. Storytime will include a mixture of classic nursery rhymes, like “The Itsy-Bitsy Spider,” as well as other faith-based favorites, like rhymes about prayer, and stories like, Who Sang the First Song by Ellie Holcomb.

Who is it for?

Storytime is open to all families in the Placerville area! Whether or not you attend church, we hope you feel welcome here and find community meeting other parents and little ones. Older siblings are welcome, just be mindful that the material is geared towards kids aged 0-7. We ask that the parent/guardian remain with their kids at all times.

Stay for snacks afterwards!

Storytime lasts around 30 minutes and lunch snacks are prepared to enjoy afterwards. There is plenty for the whole family. We will have tables set up for anyone who wants to stay and eat together.
